Analogue Cameras

Logo Design

Analogue Cameras was a small vintage camera dealer based in New York City. They specialised in classic retro cameras and were set up to help keep that movement alive. They had a particularly nice collection of Lomo cameras from Russia.

They had opened a small store and were looking to get a logo for their branding. They were quite clear early on that they didn’t want anything that had an image of a camera or anything that was based on the shape of a camera. So the challenge was to try and do something different.

It was a fun challenge to come up with this logo and not involve the shape of a camera. The initial starting point as always, was to find the right fonts. After that, I went searching for the right shape to encompass it all and found some inspiration on a 1950’s medicine packet.
